"AlphaBet" is a new project by two musicians from Toruń, Piotr Skrzypczyk and Krzysztof Janiszewski, best known for their work with the band Half Light. This time, under a new name, the artists have recorded an album full of unique sensitivity and atmosphere.
Their debut release, titled "Tags", takes the listener on a 60-minute musical journey through the realms of ambient, dark ambient, and broadly understood electronic music. The album features beautiful, synthesizer-based soundscapes created by Piotr Skrzypczyk, as well as vocal textures performed by Krzysztof Janiszewski, who also plays unusual instruments such as the singing saw and the theremin.
"Tags" is an album filled with subtlety, emotion, a haunting mood, spaciousness, and a longing for inner peace. The artists openly acknowledge their inspirations, citing names such as Brian Eno, Peter Chilvers, Tim Bowness, Steven Wilson, and Harold Budd.
